 FAQ

  • Why is my TV picture breaking up or pixilating on some channels?

Antenna systems can cause your TV picture to pixilate due to many reasons including faults from antennas or amplifiers, cable or TV plates not been connected correctly, interference from 4G and 5G transmitters or damage caused by storms.  The team from Crest can quickly test your system and identify issues, we can instantly quote for necessary work and usually repair or replace the system on the spot so you don't miss your favourite show.

  • I want to add another TV point in my home is that possible and what is involved?

The team at Crest can add TV points to your existing system, we can check the signal strength and make sure the quality of the reception will not be effected.  If the signal needs boosting we can add an amplifier to increase signal.  We can run new coax and connect into your existing antenna.

  • I live in the Hills District and many of neighbours have very tall masts, do I need one too?

It may not be necessary to have a tall mast now due to a new transmitter at Kurrajong, we can quickly survey your roof and determine if this option is available in your area.  Keeping the antenna on a lower mounting will reduce cost and leave your roof with more space for solar panels.

  • I live in a block of units in a strata complex and I am having trouble with reception and so are my neighbours in the block, can you fix this?

Yes, we specialise in strata complexes and can test the MATV system, determine the cause and then report directly to the strata agency or the committee.  If the complex needs upgrading the team at Crest can provide quotations for any necessary works.

  • What sort of antennas do you use and recommend?

At Crest TV we use and highly recommend Matchmaster Antennas, they are an Australian company who make antennas in Australia suitable for Australian conditions.

  • Can I install my own antenna?

We do not recommend self installation.  Crest have been installing antennas for over 35 years, we have the necessary experience and equipment to ensure the job is done professionally and safely.  We recommend leaving the antenna installation to an expert, using a experienced installer avoids damage to your roof, injury and ensures you are receiving the best possible picture quality.
